A new opera company in Bath is hoping to bring opera to a whole new generation of music lovers whilst bringing up-and-coming singers who are starting out on their professional careers to star in their productions.
Stentorphon Opera is a Bath-based repertory company. Australian born soprano and Silver Ring choir conductor, Ruth McKibbin, along with Bath-born promoter and tenor, Michael Smith, aim to feature local performers in addition to London-based artists in a venture that hopes to extend the patronage of opera in Somerset.
