This document tells you when and how this website collects information from you and how that information is used.
The form on the home page for signing up to the email newsletter collects your name and email address only, stores these indefinitely until you click the link in the email to unsubscribe, and uses this information purely for the purpose of sending you regular communications about St. Stephen’s church and things that we believe will be of interest to you if you are interested in St. Stephen’s Church. It is stored on a Web database protected by a secure password, and will never knowingly be sold or distributed to a third party without your consent.
The information you provide on the contact form will be used only for the purposes of dealing with your enquiry, resolving your problem or contacting you in reply. It may be stored in the usual way that emails are archived, unless you request otherwise, but will not be used for other purposes without your consent. By sending an enquiry you will not be signed up to regular communications.
Throughout the site we use Google Analytics to collect non-personal information about visitors in order to measure usage of the website, and for no other reason. This data (which the vast majority of other websites also collect) includes details such as which pages you have visited on the site, your screen resolution, your browser and operating system version, whether you have Flash and/or Java installed, your country of origin, and any search terms you may have entered in order to find the site in the first place. It does not include any data that could identify who you are or where you live, and it is stored and used only by us through Google Analytics.
What if I am a user aged 16 or under?
If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to the St. Stephen’s website. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
