Declaring your faith as an adult

The Bishop visits Bath several times a year to offer Confirmation. This is when the candidate takes on the Baptismal promises for him/herself, and the Bishop lays hands on him/her and invokes the power of the Holy Spirit.

We become a full Christian at Baptism, and Confirmation is about confirming the promises made then on our behalf by our parents and godparents and thus becoming an adult Christian.

Confirmation takes place after a preparation course led by our Parish Priest. Please contact the Parish Office for details of the next course running, or to ask any questions.
